Sales and Marketing Strategy

Linco-Electromatic, Inc. is a diversified company with multiple products and services available to the measurement segment of the petroleum industry, which include:

Goods and Services

Goods and services are provided through various areas, which include:

  • Direct sales representation and as a stocking distributor, targeted to specific geographical areas.
  • Providing strategic service locations for contract services and to stay current with customers needs through a “one-on-one” personal relationship.
  • Providing research, development and manufacture of products specifically designed with the customers’ use and application in mind. New products are developed through the Electrical Department, as well as other departments, with support from an in-house machine shop.
  • Providing pre-packaged or Fabricated Systems to allow customers to deal with a single vendor. Engineering services, design, drafting and development of project specifications are included.
  • Providing “state of the art” computer based Automation Systems and Controls, which allow the integration with Fabricated Systems.
  • Taking advantage of the growing used equipment market. Developing the resources required to provide surplus materials at a reasonable price. Ensuring reliability through product testing with traceability prior to sale.
  • Providing stat-of-the-art Internet Web Site with informative and accurate sales and technical information.
  • Providing Visa and Master Charge as simplified methods of payment.
  • Providing “electronic data interchange” to allow computer on line order placement, direct billing and payment from key customers.

Marketing

  • Midland, Texas Sales Department - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the West Texas and New Mexico marketing area with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, processing, refining, utility, service and engineering companies. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Midland, Texas Fab Systems Group - Solicits inquiries on Packaged Metering Systems through each marketing location, develops quotations, receives project purchase orders, develops drawings and specifications, designs, builds, tests and provides project start-up assistance.
  • Midland, Texas Electrical Department - Designs and builds integrated electrical control systems required by the Fab Systems Group. In addition, responsible for new electrical and electronic products. Responsibility includes research and development, design, prototype development, field testing and manufacturing.
  • Midland, Texas Automation Group - Responsible for development of automation systems, which utilize microprocessors and programmable logic controllers (PLC). Provides software, programming, documentation and support of these systems. Also provides support to all other departments requiring automation support systems.
  • Odessa, Texas Service Department - Provides contract field services for on-site meter repair and related field maintenance. Services also include shop repairs, testing and training. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Odessa, Texas Machine Shop - Supplies all mechanical manufactured components to the Fab Systems Group and to the Electrical Department. Provides support services to the Rebuild Department.
  • Odessa, Texas Rebuild Department - Responsible for re-manufacturing salvageable meters, pumps and valves for sale to the industry. Services include product evaluation for rebuild, repair, component testing, painting and documentation.
  • Houston, Texas Sales Department - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the Houston and surrounding Gulf Coast areas with sales emphasis on the major Oil Companies, The Engineering & Construction Firms, Refineries, Marketing Terminals, Chemical Plants, service companies, OEM’s and export houses. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Corpus Christi, Texas Sales and Service Department - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the South Central Texas marketing area with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, processing, refining, marketing terminals, utility, service and engineering companies. Contracts services are provided for on-site meter repair and meter calibrations. Services also include shop repairs, testing and training. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Kilgore, Texas Sales, Service and Contract Meter Calibration - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the East Texas, Louisiana and Southern Arkansas marketing area with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, processing, refining, marketing terminals, utility, service and engineering companies. Contracts services are provided for field meter calibrations, which include approximately 1,000 meters per month. Services also include on-site meter repair shop repairs, testing and training. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma Sales Department - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Linco-Electromatic, Inc. manufactured products in Oklahoma, eastern Kansas and eastern Nebraska marketing area with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, industrial processing, refining, utility, service and engineering companies. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Denver, Colorado Sales Department - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the Rocky Mountain Area, Kansas, Nebraska, the Four-Corners area, including Northern New Mexico marketing area, with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, processing, refining, marketing terminals, utility, service and engineering companies. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Casper, Wyoming Sales and Service Department - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota marketing area with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, processing, refining, marketing terminals, utility, service and engineering companies. Contracts services are provided for on-site meter repair, shop repairs, testing and training. Maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Seattle, Washington Sales - Responsible for sales of all manufactured principal accounts and sales of Corporate manufactured products in the Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska marketing area with sales emphasis on oil and gas production, pipeline, processing, refining, marketing terminals, utility, service and engineering companies. Also maintains an inventory of products and spare parts.

Current Products

Linco-Electromatic, Inc. has nine (9) products currently being manufactured by the Electrical Department and nine (9) products being manufactured by the Machine Shop. In addition to Packaged Metering Systems, the Fab Systems Group fabricates sample containers, air eliminators, LPG condensing tanks, packaged Odorant Injection Systems, fabricated pipeline strainers, mechanical displacement Bi-Directional meter prover systems and ASME Code pressure vessels.

Marketing Plan

Linco-Electromatic, Inc.'s marketing strategy is to enhance, promote and support the fact that all our products have unique features and benefits that directly meet the needs of our customers.

The overall marketing plan for our products is based on the following fundamentals:

  • We continue to strive to serve the measurement segment of the petroleum industry.
  • We continue to reach the market through direct customer contact, through appointed distributors for our manufactured products and through regular training seminars and quality trade seminars.
  • In addition, we utilize all types of advertising and promotion.

To prove the value of our products, we regularly survey our customers and distributors. We continue to search and evaluate products that are in demand by our customers and attempt to deliver the products required.

Research and Development

Linco-Electromatic, Inc. invests capital, time and effort on research and product development. Linco-Electromatic, Inc. currently has a Patent Pending on a device that allows accurate on-line measurement of the amount of water and sediment in flowing liquid hydrocarbon stream. Current market surveys indicate a strong demand with a large potential market for this new product under development.
