Regulations

Because Linco-Electromatic, Inc. is dependent upon the petroleum industry; we are under many of the same regulations that govern that Industry. These include The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and the Texas Department of Transportation (DOT). Due to the emphasis on safety and health we have a contract with a registered Safety Engineer. Responsibilities of the Safety Engineer include regularly scheduled safety meetings, development and maintenance of the Company Safety Manual, related documentation and communication with customers.

Most of the products and services provided by Linco-Electromatic, Inc. are covered in guidelines offered by the American Petroleum Institute (API). These guidelines are accepted universally in most equipment applications. Fabricated systems supplied by Linco-Electromatic, Inc. are covered by industry guidelines such as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Code, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code, the National Electric Code (NEC), Texas Railroad Commission, as well as OHSA and DOT.

Linco-Electromatic, Inc. maintains an ASME Code Stamp, which allows for the manufacture of pressure vessels. The Code Stamp is renewed every three years through accreditation by the National Board and by the Inspection Department through the Texas Department of Agriculture. The accreditation is done by an on-site visit to demonstrate the ability to produce in accordance with accepted Standards. A copy of our ASME Code Certificate of Authorization and our ASME National Board Certificate of Authorization is available upon request.

Linco-Electromatic, Inc. provides a number of products and services to the measurement of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG). In order to provide these services in Texas, Linco-Electromatic, Inc. is required to be licensed by the LPG division of the Texas Railroad Commission.

Linco-Electromatic, Inc. operates and maintains a facility used to accurately determine the “true volume” of liquid measuring devices. The procedure for calibrating these liquid-measuring devices is referred to as “water draw”. Specially designed containers are used in the procedure and their volume is attested and certified by the National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. API Regulations require that all devices used to certify measurement devices be certified on a regulated schedule.

Both federal and state authorities regulate the manufacture and sale of all our products. Linco-Electromatic, Inc. has obtained all required federal and state permits, licenses, and insurance required to operate its facilities. There can be no assurance that Linco-Electromatic, Inc.'s operation and profitability will not be subject to more restrictive regulation or increased taxation by federal, state, or local agencies.
