Linco-Electromatic, Inc. has been cleaning the litter from 2 miles north of Business 20 on Loop 250 since 1994. The program title is "Adopt-A-Highway" and is sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation. The intent of the program is to heighten public awareness of the litter problem on our streets and highways. Seeing Business, Church, Scouting and other community minded organizations clearing trash from the highways helps make people think twice before littering. "Don't Mess With Texas" is nationally recognized as Texas' litter control program slogan.

Company employees volunteer every year for Spring and Fall program wide clean-ups. In addition to the program wide clean-ups, employees participate in 2-3 as needed clean-ups throughout the year.
